Two Councils assist the Board of Censors in the administration of the Association. The Council on Medical Education conducts continuing medical education (CME) seminars for physicians and accredits hospitals and other institutions to provide continuing medical education. The Council on Medical Service (CMS) serves as the socioeconomic arm of MASA by concentrating on issues such as managed care, medical economics and specialty society issues.
