Mission Statement
The Medical Association of the State of Alabama exists to serve, lead and unite physicians in promoting the highest quality of health care for the people of Alabama through advocacy, information and education.

Councils

Two Councils assist the Board of Censors in the administration of the Association.  The Council on Medical Education sets policy concerning post-graduate medical education and accredits hospitals' and other intrastate institutions' continuing medical education programs.  The Council on Medical Service (CMS)   serves as the socioeconomic arm of MASA by concentrating on issues such as managed care, medical economics and specialty society issues. Both councills report their activities to the Board of Censors.
