MASA does not exert editorial control over the content of any messages posted on the Internet or materials that are e-mailed to third parties to any other persons. The material discussed on the Internet is not intended to present the only or necessarily the best method or procedure, but rather presents the approach or position of the discussant. MASA disclaims any and all liability for injury and/or other damages which result from an individual using techniques discussed on the Internet, whether these claims are asserted by a physician or any other person. In addition, MASA specifically is not responsible for the content of any material presented or discussed on the Internet.

This discussion group is provided as a service of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama (MASA). MASA accepts no responsibility for the opinions and information posted on this site by others. MASA disclaims all warranties with regard to information posted on this site, whether posted by MASA or any third party; this disclaimer includes all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness. In no event shall MASA be liable for any special, indirect or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever resulting from the loss of use, data or profits, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of any information posted on this site.
Generally speaking, violating antitrust regulations, libeling others, infringing copyrights, selling and marketing are not permissible. Do not post any defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal materials. Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the express permission of the copyright owner. In addition, the posting party grants MASA and users of this list the non-exclusive right and license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print and use such information or other material.
Messages should not be posted if they encourage or facilitate members to arrive at any agreement that either expressly or impliedly leads to price fixing, a boycott of another's business, or other conduct intended to illegally restrict free trade. Members generally must avoid any discussions regarding joint or collective responses to contract terms offered by governmental or private third party payors or suppliers. Such discussions may violate state and/or federal antitrust laws, except where they are conducted in the formal planning by MASA to influence state or federal policy or governmental reimbursement of physician services through legislative or regulatory advocacy, or litigation. Even then, such discussions should not include threats collectively to withhold medical services from patients whose fees are paid in whole or in part by federal or state government. Do not post any information which may compromise physician-patient confidentiality. Do not post any material regarding specific prices or fees charged or paid. Do not post any information concerning prices, discounts, or terms or conditions of sale either obtained by or offered to another entity. Do not post materials concerning market shares, salaries, sales territories, profit margins, or encouraging the selection or rejection of customers, suppliers or third party payors.
MASA does not actively monitor this site for inappropriate posting, and does not on its own undertake editorial control of postings. However, in the event that any inappropriate posting is brought to MASA's attention, MASA will take all appropriate action.

The practice specialty designations used in this directory are provided by the member physician. The practice specialties listed DO NOT imply Medical Association of the State of Alabama (MASA) "endorsement" or "recognition" of any field of medical practice. The listings for self-designation of practice specialties are generally consistent with the current list of the American Medical Association's (AMA) self-designation of practice specialties and are provided to assist physicians in describing their primary and secondary fields of specialty practice regardless of board certification status. Any representations made regarding a specialty are made by the physician alone and not MASA or the AMA.
